Ja Rule has pleaded guilty to tax evasion in New Jersey.The platinum-selling rapper admitted that he failed to pay taxes on more than $3 million in income earned between 2004 and 2006. He entered his guilty plea in a federal courtroom in Newark.
As part of a plea agreement, the government has dismissed two counts against him for unpaid taxes on income earned in 2007 and 2008. The 35-year-old Ja Rule is expected to be sentenced on the tax evasion charges in June.
He also faces sentencing that month in New York on an attempted weapon possession charge that he pleaded guilty to in December. He has agreed to a two-year prison term in that case.

Tru Life, born Robert Rosado, pleaded guilty to gang assault in a June 2009 attack that killed Christopher Guerrero and wounded another man, Jason Gray. The rapper’s brother Marcus Rosado pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the attack, which police said spiraled out of an argument at a nightclub.The 34-year-old rapper’s plea deal calls for eight years in prison. His 39-year-old brother is expected to get 10 years at their sentencing, set for March 15, once signed to Jay'z Roc La Familia label in 2005 he was expected to be on of his biggest rappers.
